I'm the head of product development department for ToolAnt, and I used to work in HomeDepot, Lowe's and Grainger as a product engineer. Based on 15 years Tool industrial experience, I want to share with you some of my personal opinion on tools.
From the 1st industrial revolution in 1840s, the great products & tool brands are being developed like stars in the sky throughout history. Until today, those brands are still contributing to tool revolution and creating continuous records. We should cherish those hundred years of enterprises, the centenary and upstart brands, not for a certain one, but for every one of my tool brands.
No matter how great the product is, it will disappear in the river of history if no one keep on revolution and creation!
After compare with performance, cost and functionality, I'm trying to provide the best one tool upon comprehensive evaluation which under $500.

Brand: RYOBI

Reason: As the DIY grade PT brand of TTI company, RYOBI holds super high market share in US. Upon the RYOBI battery platform, 1.5 Ah and 18 v charger can provide enough output in drill and drive work, also provide the quick charger efficiency.

Reason: HITACHI is the Japanese PT brand, their PT business was sold to KKR and change their brand name to "Metabo" in US, HITACHI is still being used in other marketplaces.
